The WebMD Preference Center
CASE STUDY
What is the WebMD Preference Center?
It provides WebMD readers with access to exclusive content and features tailored to their health and wellness needs. This platform allows users to manage their subscriptions conveniently, enabling them to subscribe to new services or unsubscribe from existing ones as per their preferences. Whether it's accessing premium articles, receiving personalized health tips, or enjoying ad-free browsing, The WebMD Preference Center offers a range of benefits designed to empower individuals on their health journey. Users can easily navigate their subscription options, making adjustments to suit their evolving needs and interests with ease.
Starting with The Problem
The WebMD Preference Center was very hard for users to navigate because its design lacked clear organization. Users found it difficult to locate relevant subscription options and customize their preferences due to cluttered layout and confusing navigation pathways. Additionally, it did not adequately guide users through the subscription process or provide clear instructions, leading to frustration and abandonment.
Who is the user?
The user of WebMD's Preference Center is typically individuals who have subscribed to WebMD's newsletters or other email communications and wish to manage their subscription preferences. These users may include individuals seeking health information, wellness enthusiasts, medical professionals, or anyone interested in receiving updates and content from WebMD related to health, wellness, and medical topics.
Research Methodology
